As Summer Interns, students will be employed in one of our key areas – Live Production, Processing or the Foods Division – while at the same time earning a competitive wage and gaining valuable work experience. Just a few of the opportunities available to student interns include hatchery operations, live haul, live receiving, processing operations and shipping. As a Summer Intern, you will be provided with:
- A highly qualified supervisor who will serve as your mentor
- The necessary training that will challenge you to “think outside of the box”
- Hourly pay of $15.75 for up to a 40-hour workweek
- $125 housing stipend per week
- Regular feedback and evaluations intended to facilitate the improvement of job performance

Internships are 10 weeks long, beginning the first Monday in June and ending the second Friday of August. Upon graduation, many interns advance to our Beginning Trainee Program, where they are exposed to every aspect of our business, from sales and accounting to processing and production. Trainees will have the opportunity to work with some of the best and brightest in the industry to help discover the career path that is best suited for their personal talents and abilities.

Q: Will I get paid for the internship?
A: Yes, you will be paid $15.75 per hour for a maximum 40-hour workweek.
Q: Do you cover living expenses?
A: A $125 weekly housing stipend is provided
Q: Where will I be working?
A: During the 10-week program, interns will be exposed to all elements of our operations.
