KINSTON, Oct. 14, 2016 — In the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, the Red Cross and its partner organizations continue to work together to help those affected by the storm.

Sanderson Farms quickly jumped in to help the Red Cross fulfill its mission by donating $25,000 to Hurricane Matthew relief efforts.

The funds will allow the Red Cross to continue its massive sheltering effort for thousands of people across five states, feed hungry families, and working with residents on the path to recovery.

“With the support of Sanderson Farms, we can better serve our neighbors in Eastern North Carolina who were affected by Hurricane Matthew and make sure their basic needs are met,” said Vicki LaBelle executive director of the Red Cross in the Cape Fear area. “Families rely on us in times of uncertainty and Sanderson Farms funds will allow the Red Cross to continue to provide that relief.”
