Sanderson Farms Hiring Over 100 Employees in Bryan, Texas

LAUREL, Miss. – May 1, 2018 – Sanderson Farms is seeking to hire over 100 hourly team members for their poultry processing facility in Bryan, Texas. For those interested in pursuing hourly employment with the Fortune 1000 company, Sanderson Farms is hosting “Sanderson Way Career Interest Sessions” on Tuesday, May 8; Wednesday, May 9; and Thursday, May 10 at the Hilton College Station and Conference Center. Career interest sessions will begin at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day, and job seekers can attend any one of the nine session times offered throughout the three-day period to learn more about the various career opportunities available with the company. Sanderson Farms pays 75 percent of the cost of employee health premiums while employees pay the remaining 25 percent as their premium.

Sanderson Farms’ benefits package also includes a 401(k) Plan and Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan after only 90 days of employment. After the first year of employment, contributions to the 401(k) plan are matched dollar-for-dollar by the company on the first three percent of pay, and 50 cents on the dollar for the next two percent of pay.

At no cost to the employee, Sanderson Farms also contributes to the Employee Stock Ownership Plan when approved by its Board of Directors. For fiscal year 2017, Sanderson Farms’ Board of Directors authorized an $18 million contribution to the plan.

In addition to eight paid holidays, employees are eligible to earn up to 20 days of paid vacation time based on employee tenure.
