
Fayetteville Sweet & Sour Wings
These sweet, sticky wings bring a party to your plate with a pop of southern sugar and a hint of spice. One bite and you’ll be hollering for another round!
Ingredients
1 Value Pack Sanderson Farms Whole Chicken Wings
Canola Oil
Sweet & Sour Sauce
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp dry mustard
2 tbsp lemon pepper
Green onion
Directions
1. Fry wings (naked) at 350°F for 6-8 minutes or until wings are 165°F or greater internal temperature as measured by a calibrated thermometer.
Sweet & Sour Sauce
1. In a sauce pan, add brown sugar, dry mustard apple cider vinegar, ketchup, and pineapple juice. Stir until combined.
2. In a small cup, combine soy sauce and cornstarch until smooth.
3. Pour soy sauce mixture into pot and stir.
4. Let sauce simmer for about 8 minutes or until it has thickened.
5. Toss wings in sauce. Sprinkle the wings with lemon pepper and top with finely sliced green onion.
