Marty Smith fires up the grill for these Grilled Chicken & Smoked Cheddar Pretzel Bun Sliders, a winning tailgate recipe that helps him beat Greg and take home the title of Grill Master. Juicy grilled chicken, smoky cheddar, and soft pretzel buns make these sliders perfect for game day, tailgating, and sharing with a crowd.

1 pack Sanderson Farms Boneless Skinless Breast Filets with Rib Meat

24 Pretzel Bun Slider Rolls

6 Sharp Smoked Cheddar Slices

48 Dill Pickle Sandwich Chips

1/2 cup Honey Mustard

1/2 cup Honey BBQ Sauce

1/4 cup Thin Sliced Sweet Onion

1 tblsp Kosher Salt

1 tblsp Cracked Black Pepper

1 tblsp Granulated Garlic

2 tblsp Unsalted Butter

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat a gas grill to medium high heat.
  2. Blend Salt, Pepper and Granulated Garlic in a bowl and thoroughly mix to make seasoning blend
  3. Season Sanderson Farms Boneless, Skinless Breast Filets evenly with seasoning blend making sure to flip and coat both sides.
  4. Grill seasoned breast filets over medium high heat 8 -10 min per side or until >165F internal temperature as measured by a calibrated thermometer. Once done, remove from the grill to a cutting board and rest 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, slice the breast filets thinly (<1/4") against the grains and reserve.
  5. While the chicken is resting, slice the pretzel bun sliders in half taking care not to break them into individual sliders. The goal is to have two sheets of slider buns (1 of the crowns and 1 of the heels).
  6. Butter the slider rolls and carefully toast on the grill until your desired level of browning is achieved.
  7. Remove from the grill and dress the sheet (in order from the heel up) with drizzled Honey Mustard, dill pickle chips, sliced chicken, sharp cheddar slices, thin sliced onion, and Honey BBQ Sauce).
  8. Carefully place the sheet of slider crowns on top and press lightly to combine. Place on the grill and heat until the cheese is melted through.
  9. Remove from the grill and share as soon as possible!
