“Bird Dogs” with Spicy Ranch Slaw
We are seeing "Bird Dogs" pop up everywhere right now so why not at your house as well? This is super simple, the bakery did the heavy lifting so all that’s got to be done is quickly air fry some Sanderson Farms chicken tenders and assemble a crisp, spicy slaw. Slap it all in a bun and drizzle a little homemade spicy ranch over top for a fast, fun meal in a pinch.
INGREDIENTS
1lb Sanderson Farms® CHICKEN TENDERLOINS
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
SPICY SLAW
1 lb cabbage coleslaw mix
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup sriracha or similar hot sauce
FOR ASSEMBLY
Air fried Sanderson Farms tenders
spicy ranch slaw
1/4 cup spicy ranch sauce (reserved)
Hot dog buns
Directions
1. Combine flour and seasonings in a Ziploc baggie. Shake to combine.
2. Add chicken tenders to the baggie and shake to fully coat the chicken with the seasoned flour.
3. Air fry the breaded tenders at 400F for 10-12 minutes or until > 165F internal temperature as measured by a calibrated thermometer.
SPICY SLAW
1. Combine ranch dressing and sriracha hot sauce.
2. Add 1/2 cup of the Spicy Ranch sauce to the cabbage and mix well to combine.
FOR ASSEMBLY
3. Place an air fried tender into each hot dog bun.
4. Top each with sriracha ranch slaw.
5. Drizzle the additional spicy ranch sauce over the top of each.
6. Serve hot!
