
Starkville Muscadine Wings
A sweet muscadine glaze gives these wings a jammy, southern twist that’s pure tailgate magic. These wings are a true taste of Mississippi hospitality.

1 Value Pack Sanderson Farms Whole Chicken Wings
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Smoked Paprika
Muscadine Bourbon Glaze
2 1/2 cup muscadine jelly
1 cup bourbon
3 tbsp sriracha
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup soy sauce
Bourbon Sweet Tea Brine
1/2 gallon water
1/2 gallon sweet tea
1/4 cup bourbon
1/8 cup sugar
1 tbsp coarse ground black pepper
2 each garlic cloves
4 each bay leaves
Directions
- Brine chicken wings 12 hours or up to 24 hours in bourbon sweet tea brine.
- Remove chicken wings from brine and pat dry.
- Liberally season wings with seasonings.
- Smoke wings at 250°F for 30 minutes. Increase the temperature of the smoker to 375°F. Flip wings every 20 minutes until 165°F or greater temperature is reached by a calibrated thermometer.
Muscadine Bourbon Glaze
- Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan.
- Simmer on medium heat until sauce has thickened.
- Toss wings in glaze & enjoy!
Bourbon Sweet Tea Brine
- Combine all ingredients in a stock pot and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and let aromatics steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain and refrigerate until use.
