
Auburn War Wings
These crunchy, fiery, honey mustard tossed wings pack a punch worthy of a roar. They’re perfect for fueling your game day war cry!
Ingredients
1 Sanderson Farms Party Wings Value Pack (5 lbs.)
3 cups buttermilk
1/3 cup hot sauce of your choice
2 tsp cajun seasoning
Canola oil for frying
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tblsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp cajun seasoning
2 tblsp garlic powder
1 tblsp onion powder
1/2 tblsp black pepper
1 tblsp dry mustard
2 tblsp paprika
Hot Honey Mustard
1/2 cup hot honey
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup dijon mustard
1/4 cup yellow mustard
3 tsp hot sauce (of your choice)
1 tbslp cayenne pepper
1 tblsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions
1. Cover wings with buttermilk, hot sauce, and seasoning. Toss well. Store in refrigerator to marinade for at least 3 hours (up to overnight).
2. Combine all ingredients for seasoned flour in a shallow pan.
3. Remove wings from marinade, shaking off excess marinade.
4. Dredge wings in seasoned flour and place on wire rack.
5. After dredging all of the wings, fry them in canola oil at 350°F for 8 minutes or until 165°F or greater temperature is reached by a calibrated thermometer.
6. Drain wings on a wire rack for about 1-2 minutes. Then, toss the fried wings in the Hot Honey Mustard sauce.
7. Enjoy!
Hot Honey Mustard
1. Place all ingredients into a bowl and whisk until well combined.
2. Add a teaspoon of water to achieve a thinner consistency if desired.
