
Carolina Reaper Wings
Brace yourself—these wings are packing serious heat with fiery Carolina Reaper sauce. Not for the timid, but perfect for thrill-seeking fans!
Ingredients
1 Sanderson Farms Part Wings Value Pack (5 lbs.)
Cajun seasoning
Cayenne pepper
Olive oil
Carolina Reaper Buffalo Sauce
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup ketchup
4 tsp hot sauce of your choosing
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
2 dried Carolina Reaper pods
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Directions
1. Add chicken wings to a large bowl. Coat the wings in olive oil and season liberally with cajun seasoning & cayenne pepper.
2. Grill over medium high heat flipping often until 165°F or greater temperature is reached by a calibrated thermometer.
Carolina Reaper Buffalo Sauce
1. In a bowl, grind the Carolina Reaper pods into a powder using a mortar & pestle.
2. Add all sauce ingredients including prepared pepper powder into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and allow sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes. Cool sauce for about 10 minutes. Then toss the grilled wings in the sauce.
